Our water and wastewater process design team is concentrated around 20 process engineers including chemical engineers, chemists, microbiologists and environmental engineers. Our team comprises senior staff with extensive experience throughout the water industry, including nationally recognised experts. More junior members of the team build on previous experience and develop new expertise to provide a firm basis for the development of a strong process engineering team that is skilled, knowledgeable and cost-effective. Our work includes various stages of design. This includes feasibility studies, outline design and detailed design as well as assessment of tender design on behalf of a wide range of clients such as water companies, or other local organisations responsible for providing water and wastewater treatment. We prefer to base designs on data collected in the field rather than typical values that may not be relevant. We employ portable analytical methods and tools to collect water quality data where local facilities are unavailable or unreliable. Design work undertaken includes: * Potable water treatment works * Municipal wastewater and industrial effluent treatment works (including leachate treatment) * Odour treatment plants * Sludge treatment and disposal plants * Effluent re-use plants. Work undertaken to support design includes: * Environmental protection * Zonal classification * Risk assessment * Waste minimisation * Master planning. In addition to design works our engineers provide specialist input to projects on: * Water quality issues * Expert witness testimony * Technical advice * Development of legislation * Research projects, including pilot studies * Specific investigations and troubleshooting * Institutional strengthening. |
