Gentek Consult has extensive worldwide experience in undertaking the design or auditing designs by others of municipal wastewater treatment facilities. Our inputs range from undertaking feasibility studies, to preliminary design through to detailed design work. They cover new builds on greenfield sites and the replacement or upgrading of existing works. We have made significant inputs into PFI and PPP schemes undertaken in the Turkey and overseas. We also provide designs for industrial effluent plant. Increasingly we are also being asked to consider options for effluent re-use. Our designs incorporate all the conventional treatment stages, such as preliminary, primary, secondary and tertiary treatment as well as addressing environmental issues such as odour minimisation, containment and abatement. Treatment processes are selected appropriate to the treatment required and to the site circumstances. Where required compact processes or processes producing high quality treated effluents are used, e.g. lamellar separators and BAFF plant, Sequencing Batch Reactors (SBRs) or Membrane Bioreactors (MBRs). The use of such processes has grown rapidly over the past ten years. As a result of the Gentek Consult approach, we have increasingly been asked to apply advanced treatment techniques and innovative design approaches for specific reasons. |
